Neurodevelopmental Service Lead

Overview

In this senior role you lead and shape ASD and ADHD services within a clinician-led healthcare provider. You will drive clinical quality, governance and service improvement while maintaining time for complex clinical work. You’ll oversee safeguarding, risk and performance, and lead a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient pathways. The role combines strategic influence with hands-on leadership to deliver high-quality neurodevelopmental care across adults and children. You will partner with senior clinicians to implement credible improvements and stay aligned with safety and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership across ASD and ADHD services
• Support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care
• Oversee safeguarding, clinical risk, waiting lists and service performance
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, including line management and supervision
• Improve pathways, processes, clinical standards and audit activity
• Work closely with senior clinical colleagues to deliver service improvements

Key requirements

• Significant post-qualification experience in neurodevelopmental services, ASD/ADHD or mental health, with senior clinical or leadership experience
• Current NMC registration with advanced practice experience, or HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
• Experience leading or supporting multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding and risk
• Experience of service delivery and improving clinical pathways
