Senior Business Analyst / Product Consultant (Healthcare)

Overview

In this Senior Business Analyst role at Kainos, you’ll ensure the team understands business needs so customer solutions meet users’ requirements. You’ll articulate problems clearly for both business and technical stakeholders and guide the design of cost-effective software that serves users worldwide. Responsibilities

• Understand and translate business needs for customer solutions
• Articulate problems to business and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate analysis and design of cost-effective software solutions
• Create user stories and manage backlog for agile delivery
• Model current and future business processes to gain buy-in
• Lead small group facilitation (dev teams, delivery committees) to focused outcomes
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications
• Manage stakeholder expectations within project constraints
• Support pre-sales and requirements prioritization activities

Key requirements

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile team for an external customer
• Client-facing experience in a consulting environment (must-have)
• UK public sector or healthcare experience
• Broad business and technology understanding; awareness of industry trends
• Proficient stakeholder management and ability to challenge when needed
• Excellent user story creation and backlog refinement skills
• Strong business process modelling and process design abilities
• Effective facilitation skills for small groups
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements
• Good commercial awareness and delivery within project constraints
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
• Ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication across stakeholders
