Overview

As Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture for North and Central Europe, you lead a high-caliber team of architects focused on transforming Energy and Utilities through AI-enabled cloud workloads. You act as a trusted technical advisor to C-suite executives, aligning infrastructure choices with business outcomes and shaping regional adoption of AWS services. You’ll define regional strategy, influence product roadmap through customer voice, and mentor leaders delivering enterprise-scale AI and cloud modernization. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical influence to drive AI-first transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Build, coach, and retain a high-performing Solutions Architecture team with a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession
  • Develop and execute technical strategy for major Energy accounts; partner with Sales to align solutions with customer objectives
  • Serve as trusted technical advisor in C-suite discussions on complex infrastructure modernization and transformation
  • Lead complex engagements in content production, broadcast, streaming, gaming, and sports analytics
  • Set technical standards for the team and create development paths for domain experts to grow into broader technical leaders
  • Guide digital and AI transformation initiatives including cloud migration and content delivery optimization
  • Collaborate with AWS energy teams on feature prioritization and roadmap development
  • Support executive briefings and technical deep-dive sessions
  • Develop whitepapers, reference architectures, and customer-facing content to share best practices
  • Identify customer patterns to inform product priorities at the intersection of core infrastructure and AI/ML workloads
  • Represent AWS in executive discussions, public speaking, and industry events to demonstrate customer value

Key requirements

  • 15+ years of management experience overseeing 20+ technical resources
  • 5+ years working with complex Energy and Utility organizations
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc.)
  • Strong track record in leading strategic technical engagements and customer-facing leadership
  • Public speaking and written communication
  • Executive-level stakeholder management
  • Customer obsession and collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Compute, Generative AI, Accelerated Compute / GPU infrastructure, HPC
  • Security, Networking, Storage
  • AI/ML workload optimization (training clusters, inference tuning, GPU scheduling)
