Overview
As Lead Consultant, you will guide aero engine stress analysis across modules, leading a team of stress engineers and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, safe, and manufacturable outputs. You’ll drive technical delivery excellence and cross-functional collaboration, shaping the technical direction and governance of aero engine stress activities. The role emphasizes ownership, continuous improvement, and performance within a learning culture. Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of stress engineers and drive the delivery of stress analysis tasks
- Interface with stakeholders and ensure project alignment with quality, safety, cost, schedule, and manufacturability targets
- Steer high-level stress analysis tasks, mentor engineers, manage priorities, and support governance
- Enable cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement in delivery
- Capture customer requirements and guide outputs to meet expectations
Key requirements
- Extensive experience with turbomachinery components (gas turbine for power and/or aviation)
- Strong understanding of aero engine modules (rotative, compressors, turbines, combustors, structures & casings)
- Hands-on structural stress and vibration analysis of aero engine components (rotors, stators, bladed disks, structures & casings, turbines)
- Experience with 2D/3D stress and vibration analysis using FEA tools (ANSYS Classic/Workbench, Abaqus, SC03)
- Knowledge of LCF, HCF and weld fatigue analysis
- Ability to perform DOE, RCA and field failure analysis independently and guide team members
- Experience with Damage Tolerance Analysis and Fracture Mechanics
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
