Contracts Manager required in Hertfordshire / Essex

Overview

As Contracts Manager you will oversee 3–5 live projects for a well-established main contractor on healthcare, education and commercial refurbishment schemes up to 3m. You will report to the Contracts Director, plan and drive projects through to final accounts, and regularly attend site meetings with clients. The role sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring progress, quality and commercial outcomes. This is a client-facing, site-based leadership position with meaningful impact on project success and company growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 3–5 projects concurrently
• Monitor progress on each site
• Report to the Contracts Director
• Plan projects and manage them through to final accounts
• Attend site progress meetings with clients

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Contracts Manager in main contracting
• Experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously
• Excellent people skills
• Organised and attentive; strong team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage at all levels
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid qualifications are ideal
• A degree/HNC in a related subject would be advantageous
