Contracts Manager opportunity in Hertfordshire/Essex

Overview

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple refurbishment projects within healthcare, education, and commercial sectors from planning through final accounts. You will work closely with the Contracts Director, manage site progress, and lead regular client progress meetings to ensure delivery on time and to budget. This role combines hands-on site oversight with strategic contract administration, offering scope to shape project outcomes across several sites. You will thrive in a collaborative team and bring strong organisation, communication, and leadership to drive successful project completion.

Pay / Benefits

• 60K – 80K salary + package

Responsibilities

• Oversee 3–5 projects concurrently
• Ensure progress on each site and report to the Contracts Director
• Plan projects and manage them through to final accounts
• Attend site progress meetings with clients
• Monitor site performance and compliance

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Contracts Manager in the main contracting sector
• Experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid qualifications are ideal
• Degree/HNC in a related subject would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
