Commercial Solicitor – Public Sector Focus

Overview

In this role you will advise public sector clients on commercial contracts and related governance matters, supporting strategic projects and procurement guidance. You will work within a nationally recognised public sector team, mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to firm growth. Responsibilities

• Advise on a wide range of commercial contracts for public sector clients
• Draft and negotiate service agreements, frameworks, and collaboration documents
• Support strategic projects and provide procurement guidance
• Advise on public law and governance issues where applicable
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development
• Support and contribute to growth of the practice

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor (NQ+) with experience in commercial contracts
• Background in either public or private sector
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercial mindset with ability to deliver clear, practical advice
• Procurement or public law experience is a bonus but not essential
