Overview

You will lead Halifax Intermediaries relationships across the North West to grow mortgage broker partnerships and deliver strong outcomes for customers. As the face of LBG in the intermediary market, you’ll drive growth, manage key accounts, and help brokers navigate a dynamic housing market. The role blends field work and remote collaboration, with regular travel across your territory to hit ambitious targets. You’ll develop as a regional authority on residential mortgages while supporting a diverse, high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an established territory across M, FY, PR, WN, WA and BL postcodes with travel across the region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with mortgage intermediary partners
  • Identify growth opportunities and drive performance to meet targets
  • Conduct broker appointments and educate/support brokers to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop business opportunities and increase income
  • Provide specialised support for new and existing accounts and respond to complex inquiries
  • Educate intermediaries on risk, compliance, and regulatory changes and manage breaches as needed
  • Develop knowledge of the housing mortgage market to become a regional asset
  • Balance face-to-face client meetings with virtual interactions and data-driven workload prioritisation

Key requirements

  • Strong business development and/or relationship management skills in an intermediated environment
  • Good understanding of buy-to-let mortgage market landscape, including regulatory changes and opportunities
  • Experience in financial services, preferably mortgages
  • Ability to read, understand and use data to prioritise workload
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (in person, telephone, virtual)
  • Solid understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory changes & opportunities
  • CeMAP qualification (or working towards) would be beneficial but not essential
