Overview
In this role you will support Abbott Rapid Diagnostics’ Infectious Disease division in the north UK, helping to drive regional sales and instrument deployment through deep product knowledge and customer training. You will partner with NHS and private sector stakeholders to align with national strategies and accelerate adoption of rapid molecular diagnostics. Expect hands-on demonstrations, education delivery, and end-to-end implementation ownership to ensure customer success and revenue growth. This is a regional, field-based role with significant travel, offering the chance to shape diagnostics in healthcare across the UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities
- Support regional revenue and instrument placement targets through product expertise and customer engagement
- Prioritize key accounts based on segmentation and build relationships with stakeholders
- Accelerate sales cycles with product demonstrations, technical education, and validation support
- Own implementation for new opportunities to ensure post-sale success and revenue growth
- Support and upsell in existing accounts via training, education, and troubleshooting
- Lead connectivity for new instruments in the region to enable rapid implementation
Key requirements
- Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science, Nursing or a related field
- Proven technical experience in the medical devices industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of rapid diagnostic and POCT industry practices (preferred)
- Experience delivering education and training to healthcare professionals
- Good knowledge of the UK healthcare industry, NHS and private providers
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence
- Ability to build relationships across departments and work under pressure
- Excellent organizational, facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience with medical devices, diagnostic equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
- Knowledge of NHS operations and environmental regulations
