In this role you will contribute to large-scale Scottish water projects, shaping sustainable and resilient water systems. You will join a multidisciplinary Water Team and collaborate with Scottish Water and partners to deliver design excellence at scale. You tackle challenges across flood resilience, low-carbon design, and remote delivery, helping communities thrive. Responsibilities

• Support full design delivery from inception to detailed design on water projects (e.g., SR27 Enterprise)
• Contribute to capital programmes and critical infrastructure upgrades for Scottish Water
• Assist on Flood & Surface Water Management and blue/green infrastructure retrofit initiatives
• Support climate resilience and low-carbon design using gravity-fed systems and renewable technologies
• Participate in remote and rural delivery with environmental sensitivity and reliability
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and digital teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Engage with water innovation initiatives and SME collaborations
• Contribute to projects beyond Scotland across the UK and international partners

Key requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design
• Knowledge and experience in the water sector
