We are recruiting for a newly created role with our client, a growing accountancy firm in Kilmarnock. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced non-qualified Accountant, AAT Accountant or Accounts Senior to join their team.

This is a varied role where you will take ownership of your own portfolio of clients and play an important part in supporting their day-to-day accounting requirements.

n

n

The role would suit someone who has gained experience within an accountancy practice and is confident working with sole traders, limited companies and small businesses.

n

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n

n
• Preparing & reviewing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients (limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders).

n

• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.

n

• Assisting with year-end accounts and general accounting requirement.

n

• Liaising directly with clients and deal with queries, understanding their unique needs and ensuring they receive timely and accurate advice.

n

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all matters related to accounting, tax, and financial planning.

n

• General bookkeeping & payroll

Essential Requirements:

n

n

n
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.

n

• Strong understanding of UK accounting and tax regulations.

n

• Proficient with MS Office & various accounting / bookkeeping software (i.e. Sage, Sage Payroll, Xero Certified).

n

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

n

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

n

• Experience in the agricultural sector would be preferred but is not essential.

n

n

n
