We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Sybase DBA to join a business-critical technology environment in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior database specialist with strong hands‑on experience supporting high-availability Sybase environments, ideally within banking or financial services.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years’ experience as a Sybase DBA
• Expert hands‑on experience with Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ
• Strong Sybase Replication Server experience
• HA/DR, Warm Standby, MSA and Failover Clustering
• Performance tuning, query optimisation and database troubleshooting
• Backup, recovery, dump/load and restore
• Large‑scale Sybase IQ/Data Warehouse environments
• Linux/Unix administration
• Shell, Perl and/or Python Scripting
• Database migrations, upgrades, modernisation and decommissioning
• Data centre/infrastructure migration experience
• Production support, incident management, RCA and SLA management
• Banking or Financial Services experience is highly desirable
