Job description
A number of large, leading Mental Health Hospitals and Homes in Cardiff and surrounding areas are on the hunt for talented Mental Health Support Workers for an immediate start! We have a number of positions available Full and Part Time, which will be for on-going support in the local area.
As a Support Worker you will –
Support individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions to lead a good quality of life whilst achieving positive outcomes along the way.Assist individuals to learn new skills.Understand medication procedures.Understand safeguarding policies and procedures.Work as part of a team of dedicated, qualified and capable staff team who put the people living here at the heart of what we do.Full Free Training provided to all candidates8/10/12 hour shifts available
The Candidate:
What you’ll need to be successful as a Mental Health Support Worker
- A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Mental Health issues
- Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
- At least 3 months experience of working within a healthcare setting in the UK
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one and a NVQ level 3 health and social care.
- The right to work in the UK
