Overview

In this senior, hands-on role, you will lead the London real estate account management team, shaping strategy and ensuring excellence in client service. You’ll provide technical oversight for residential and commercial property portfolios while partnering with senior leadership on growth and operational improvements. Your leadership will balance people management with hands-on technical involvement, in a hybrid, London-based setting. Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Account Managers within the real estate division
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews and ongoing coaching
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members
  • Oversee end-to-end management of client accounts across residential and commercial property risks
  • Act as a senior technical reference for client queries, complex cases and service issues
  • Manage client expectations and ensure a high-quality, consistent service proposition
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on business strategy, operational improvements and growth initiatives
  • Support FCA-compliant processes and best practices in client servicing, documentation and file management
  • Assist with audits, quality assurance and regulatory/internal compliance standards
  • Drive consistency, efficiency and professionalism across the account management function

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in an insurance brokerage environment, specifically property/real estate insurance
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial property risks with capability to advise on complex queries
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or leading account management teams
  • Confident with clients and insurers, setting expectations and resolving issues
  • Solid understanding of FCA requirements and regulatory standards in a broking environment
  • Hands-on, commercially aware with balance between leadership and technical involvement
