Structural Engineer – London

Overview

As a Structural Engineer in our design-led practice, you develop robust structural solutions for a diverse project mix. You will work within a collaborative team to progress projects from concept to construction, with exposure to traditional and modular MMC designs. You help ensure compliance with Eurocodes and UK standards while supporting peers and clients. This role offers a clear path toward Senior Engineer and Chartership, in a modern, tech-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural designs for traditional and modular building projects
• Perform analysis and detailed design per Eurocodes and UK standards
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients
• Support project delivery from feasibility to construction
• Attend site visits and design team meetings
• Assist with project planning, programmes and resource coordination
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, CDM and QA procedures
• Contribute to technical development and internal design standards
• Support junior engineers through knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy
• Experience designing with steel, reinforced concrete, timber, masonry
• Understanding of Eurocodes, UK standards, and Building Regulations
• Experience using structural analysis software such as TEDDS, Robot, ETABS, SCIA, or similar
• Exposure to modular/MMC systems (advantageous)
• Strong communication and technical reporting skills
• Working toward Chartership (IStructE or ICE)
