Overview

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will deliver precise damage assessments and repair estimates to support efficient fixes and client satisfaction. You will work within a network of repair specialists to ensure consistency with client and insurer requirements. The role blends estimating with parts ordering and records management, contributing to quality outcomes and process integrity. You’ll collaborate with repair teams and may coordinate on total loss cases, in a role that values accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed manual and computerised repair estimates aligned with client and insurance requirements
• Order vehicle parts accurately and ensure timely delivery and authenticity checks
• Maintain clear records of all estimates and identify work needing authorisation
• Liaise with repair personnel to ensure work aligns with estimates; coordinate on total loss vehicles where applicable
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and organisational policies
• Assist with other reasonable tasks as required by senior management

Key requirements

• Previously worked as Vehicle Damage Assessor, Bodyshop Estimator, Vehicle Assessor or similar role
• Proven experience of at least 3 years in Vehicle Damage Assessing
• IMI Accreditation preferred; candidates with lapsed qualifications may complete a skills assessment
• Ideally have Audatex qualification
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to non-qualified technicians
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
