Business Analyst – Fintech

Overview

In this Software Business Analyst role, you drive business-aligned software analysis for a fintech-capital markets consultancy. You will lead stakeholders to achieve common program goals and translate requirements into actionable specifications for offshore development. You’ll work on front-office trading solutions, including FIX-based workflows, with bi-weekly releases and close collaboration across QA and business teams. This is a client-facing position with impact on trading platforms across Fixed Income, Equities, and FX. The role combines business analysis with technical grounding to shape high-impact finance technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholders to align on program goals
• Perform active requirements gathering in interviews and workshops
• Draft specifications and partner with offshore development
• Oversee bi-weekly software releases
• Define and prioritize solution behavior to meet business needs
• Design and propose messaging protocol formats
• Validate requirements with business analysts, developers, and QA teams

Key requirements

• 4 years’ experience in software/financial services business analysis
• Experience in Financial Services (loans/credit/FX)
• Strong technical knowledge
• Ability to follow a structured analysis path from initiation to completion
• Attention to detail and willingness to challenge conventions
• Holistic problem-solving mindset
• Experience with Requirements Gathering, Process Flow Documentation, State/Lifecycle Definition, Gap Analysis, Test Planning, UML, BPMN, Data Modelling Techniques
• Analysis Documents: TOR, Requirements Specification, Functional Specification, Test Plan
