Lead Mechanical Engineers

Overview

In this role, you lead mechanical engineering teams on energy transition and petrochemical projects, driving front-end to detailed design with a strong focus on delivering scope on time and within budget. You collaborate across clients, project management, suppliers, and global engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable solutions. The role combines technical leadership with program oversight to advance complex mechanical packages. You will contribute to KBR’s mission of delivering impactful, sustainable engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of engineers on a project and guide the technical direction
• Plan, budget, organize and control a major segment of a large engineering program
• Be accountable for staff and work-hour budgets and successful delivery of the mechanical scope
• Interface with clients, project management, suppliers, corporate management, and global mechanical teams

Key requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered engineer preferred
• Proven success leading mechanical teams on energy transition and petrochemical projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with innovative mindset
• Knowledge of static, machinery, and packaged equipment types
• Working knowledge of industry standards for energy transition or oil and gas equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction or Visa sponsorship
