Overview

As Mechanical Engineering Manager, you lead Linx’s mechanical team to deliver high-quality, producible printer systems. You drive engineering discipline, ownership, and timely delivery while shaping next‑gen printers and maintaining design integrity. You will collaborate across R&D, electronics, and manufacturing to manage risk, validation, and continuous improvements. This role combines hands-on engineering with people leadership in a globally focused, growth‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the mechanical team, fostering technical excellence and accountability
• Oversee accelerated development of new printer products using industrial design and mass production techniques
• Ensure robust design reviews, verification, validation, and risk management
• Collaborate across departments to align priorities and deliver quality, performance, cost and time-to-market goals
• Improve systems and processes with new tools and methods (CAD, DFM, PDM, FEA)
• Maintain awareness of global machine safety regulatory requirements and safety culture
• Encourage ownership, timely decision-making, and high-quality outcomes
• Promote cross-functional collaboration and constructive problem solving throughout the organization

Key requirements

• Proven track record in team building, engagement and people development
• Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive Engineering or time-served experience
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary design team developing industrial components/products with electronics and software
• Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and system integration
• Experience with CAE tools and product design using solid, fluid, and thermo mechanics, electronics and software
• Experience with SolidWorks, Creo; Windchill and Adobe Illustrator are a plus
• Understanding of design, verification, and risk management processes (V&V, design reviews)
• Ability to work across functions and manage stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
