Senior Delivery Manager – Public Sector

Overview

In this Delivery Manager role, you will lead technical projects end-to-end using Agile methods, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality targets. You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to mature relationships, create opportunities, and drive Agile or Hybrid programs forward. You’ll manage governance, risk, RAID, and detailed work-plans, while facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams for continuous improvement. This position sits at the intersection of delivery excellence and customer outcomes in a fast-evolving tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and mature relationships with new customers
• Identify and deliver opportunities through effective project delivery
• Drive Agile or Hybrid projects forward on time, within budget, and with quality
• Manage stakeholder engagement and communications
• Lead weekly delivery assurance and status meetings
• Execute standard Delivery Manager duties: scope, work-plan, RAID, governance, risk management

Key requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical project delivery
• Led difficult technical projects end-to-end using Agile methodologies
• Facilitated Agile ceremonies for medium-sized teams
• Coached teams on Agile practices and drove continuous improvement
• Knowledge in a technology domain and/or industry vertical
• Expert facilitation of Agile ceremonies and metrics analysis
• Experience scaling Agile across multiple workstreams
• Experience managing dependencies and coordinating cross-team sprints
• Backlog management, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria definition
• Experience with Agile tools and reporting (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with GDS Digital Transformation projects
