Construction / Site Manager

Overview

In this role you drive on-site safety and compliant delivery for a major nuclear project in Cumbria. You work within a highly regulated environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold high safety standards. You will manage site activities, risk controls, and incident investigations to ensure safe and compliant progression. Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site activities within the assigned scope, ensuring adherence to plans and safety standards
• Implement and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Monitor safety performance and support emergency arrangements
• Keep safety documentation current and accurate
• Communicate safety expectations and updates to the workforce
• Report, record and investigate events per company and statutory requirements
• Ensure workforce training needs are identified and completed
• Seek specialist advice to maintain compliance and safety

Key requirements

• Competency Card such as CSCS, ECS or ACE
• SMSTS preferred or accepted equivalent; IOSH Managing Safely; NEBOSH
• Strong knowledge of site safety responsibilities and risk management processes
• Ability to engage confidently with the workforce and promote a positive safety culture
• Proven experience delivering construction projects in a highly regulated sector
