Associate Director – Project Management

Overview

In this role you will guide the delivery of programmes aligned with client objectives within the education sector, shaping delivery frameworks across people, processes, systems and technology. You will manage stakeholder relationships, ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous performance improvements. The position focuses on sustainable, high-impact project delivery and aligns with Mace’s safety, integrity and client-focused values. You will lead diverse teams to deliver innovative, commercially viable outcomes that meet strategic objectives. Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to deliver programmes aligned with client objectives and service excellence
• Ensure integrity through fiscal accountability, ethical practice and regulatory compliance
• Manage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive performance and innovation
• Direct and deliver sub-programmes aligned to strategic objectives with effective delivery frameworks
• Drive performance improvement against bid baselines through optimisation and risk management
• Maintain strong client relationships with governance and commercial viability
• Lead inclusive, high-performing teams to deliver programme outcomes and sustainability

Key requirements

• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent
• Extensive delivery phase experience in the education sector
• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams
• Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of carbon and sustainability considerations
