Associate Director – Cost & Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying (PMCM Buildings Glasgow)

Overview

In this role you will lead pre- and post-contract Cost & Commercial Management for diverse clients, guiding estimating, cost planning, procurement, and financial control. You’ll head a team within a cross-functional PMCM group and contribute to winning work and client relationship-building in Scotland. You’ll work on impactful projects in buildings and infrastructure, shaping commercial outcomes for public and private clients. Responsibilities

• Lead pre- and post-contract Cost & Commercial Management for projects, including estimating, cost planning, procurement, and cost assurance
• Deliver QS commercial services, mentor and manage a team, and contribute to bid writing and winning work
• Represent WSP UK at industry events and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Provide delivery leadership and project control within the Buildings team across Scotland
• Engage with clients such as Scottish Power, Glasgow Airport, life science clients and residential developers in BtR and PBSA sectors

• ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• strong knowledge/experience of NEC and/or JCT contracts
• experience in a QS/Cost and Commercial Management role in a consultancy, contractor, or client organisation
