Construction Manager – Birmingham – 60,000 – 70,000 plus package potential subsistence

Overview

As Construction Manager you will lead the stripout and refit of fire protection within live M&E on a Birmingham site run by a Tier 1 contractor. You’ll work nights (7pm–5am) on a hospital/secure environment project with a substantial M&E package. Your role is to coordinate safety, quality, and delivery on a live site while liaising with stakeholders. This is a long-term opportunity with progression and a strong project pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise stripout and refit of fire protection within live M&E on a busy live site
• Coordinate night-shift activities (7pm–5am) to minimize daytime disruption
• Oversee safety, quality, and progress across M&E packages on the hospital/secure environment project
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to align on programme and milestones
• Ensure compliance with site procedures and coordination of specialist M&E works
• Manage approximately 150m of M&E works over 5 years (30m per annum)
• Support project planning and liaison to sustain a long-term project pipeline

Key requirements

• Hospital/prison/secure environment experience preferred
• Specialist M&E experience with fire protection and prevention on major packages
• Proven track record of delivering on live/ night-shift environments
• Ability to manage large, multi-year M&E packages within a Tier 1 contractor context
• Location: Birmingham; willing to work night shifts
