Solicitor / Associate – Property Damage

Overview

In this role, you advise on property damage claims within a Commercial Insurance team, handling a varied caseload across FPPD, TPPD, product liability, policy coverage, and subrogated recoveries. You will manage your own cases and contribute to large loss matters, while supporting junior colleagues and building cross‑functional relationships. The role blends client-facing responsibility with risk assessment and timely decision‑making in a collaborative, inclusive environment. Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of property-related claims and assist on large loss matters
• Understand client requirements and comply with SLAs and best practice
• Analyse risk and justify decisions to clients and internal stakeholders
• Prioritise work to maximise efficiency and impact
• Build internal and external relationships to understand firm direction and client needs
• Provide support and act as a go-to for junior team members

Key requirements

• Experience handling or assisting with an insurance property-related caseload, including TPPD and/or policy coverage, plus product liability and subrogated recoveries
• Technical expertise and strong interest in Commercial Insurance matters
• Proven track record delivering results within strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills for complex issues with stakeholders
