Senior Operations Associate, Operational Risk Management, Manchester

Overview

In this role you support the Operational Risk Management function by helping identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization. You will work with stakeholders globally to improve processes, data quality, and risk reporting, contributing to operational resilience. You’ll engage in investigations, data collection, and technology-enabled enhancements to simplify workflows. This position offers exposure to risk data, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading financial information services firm. You will shape practical improvements and gain broad exposure to risk management at Fitch Ratings.

Responsibilities

• Support recurring operational risk activities, including data collection, data cleaning, analysis and reporting
• Support reviews and investigations into incidents, process issues, and other operational risk matters
• Coordinate actions across stakeholders and workstreams, track progress, and help resolve issues
• Maintain clear risk and process documentation and improve internal resources (e.g., SharePoint) for accuracy and accessibility
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data quality, and leverage technology, automation, and AI
• Tackle new assignments across evolving team priorities with curiosity and sound judgement
