Responsibilities

• Perform planning appraisals and feasibility studies to guide consent
• Promote sites through planning processes and secure planning consent/discharge conditions
• Determine acquisition pathways and manage the planning process to consent
• Liaise with planning authorities and regulators
• Appoint, manage, and coordinate designers/consultants for planning applications
• Review design options, conduct cost-benefit analyses, monitor consultant performance
• Organise and chair design/planning team meetings
• Negotiate S106 agreements including viability appraisals
• Demonstrate knowledge of current planning policy and legislation

Key requirements

• Experience in achieving planning on student accommodation or Build to Rent projects
• Strong knowledge of the RIBA design process
• Excellent business development and networking abilities
• Ability to run development appraisals related to real estate/student accommodation/Build to Rent
