Overview

As Lead UI Designer at VML, you shape online visual identity and conversion-focused interfaces for major brands. You’ll lead a UI team within a cross-functional studio, delivering scalable design systems and pixel-perfect, accessible experiences. Your portfolio will demonstrate end-to-end digital experiences across the customer journey. You’ll collaborate with engineers and present concepts to senior stakeholders, driving high-quality UI design and client impact.

Responsibilities

• Create digital brand look and feel, design systems, and pixel-perfect responsive interfaces
• Ensure usability and accessibility while meeting user and business needs
• Take a systematic design approach with future-proof flexibility
• Showcase compelling online experiences across the customer journey
• Lead and mentor multiple designers and elevate the UI design offering
• Communicate design process clearly to clients from concept to solution
• Lead design on key accounts and present concepts to senior stakeholders
• Own design decisions and respond to feedback effectively

Key requirements

• Demonstrable eCommerce experience
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Creative yet meticulous with strong craftsmanship
• Experience leading designers and driving team output
• Adaptable and oriented to continuous self-improvement
• Brand identity creation and design systems development
• Collaborates effectively with software engineers
• Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills
• Experience across digital agencies or in-house studios
• Degree in Graphic Design / UI or similar discipline
