Senior Night Carer – Residential Care Home

Overview

In this role you will lead a care team in a Barchester residential home, delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll train staff, supervise shifts, and delegate tasks while ensuring safe medication administration and up-to-date care plans. You will liaise with GPs, district nurses and residents’ families, upholding dignity and creating a warm, welcoming environment. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision, and on-shift delegation
• Administer and order medications
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members
• Uphold residents’ dignity and preferences; create a warm, welcoming environment

Key requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
