Deputy Head of Clinical Services

Overview

In this role you will support the Head of Clinical Services to lead safety and quality of care across the service, guiding daily operations and influencing practice at all levels. You will act as a clinical lead for all specialties, provide expert nursing and multidisciplinary guidance, and manage governance, incident reporting, and data analysis. Based at Stourside Hospital, you will deliver on-site leadership and clinical assurance while helping implement improved patient pathways.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operational management in line with best practices to drive safety and quality
• Influence and challenge practices across all levels through effective communication
• Lead and implement improvements to patient pathways and integrate changes into the service
• Provide expert advice to nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, covering duties of Head of Clinical Services in their absence
• Contribute to quality governance, incident management, and data analysis
• Handle data reports, incident reporting, and support clinical governance and ICB report requirements
• Provide on-site leadership and clinical assurance at Stourside Hospital
