Overview

In this Bank Band 6 Podiatrist role you will work within our community podiatry services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple sites. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage diverse caseloads, including domiciliary patients, while supervising junior staff and mentoring students. The role offers flexible working across clinic locations and a focus on safe, evidence-based practice with opportunities to escalate specialist input when needed. This position supports service development and aims to improve outcomes for local communities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with podiatry and health care teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Supervise and delegate tasks to junior clinicians and Podiatry Assistants; mentor students
• Refer to Highly Specialist Clinicians when specialist input is required
• Maintain flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations and domiciliary settings
• Manage a domiciliary caseload as needed

Key requirements

• HCPC registration
• BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991)
• Certificate in local anaesthesia
• Postgraduate clinical experience in multidisciplinary work and high/at-risk foot care
• Experience in NHS environment and clinical supervision/mentoring (Desirable)
