Overview
As UK Domestic Health Lead, you will spearhead Palladium’s entry and growth in the UK domestic public health market. You’ll translate relationships and market insights into contracts, building a sustainable portfolio with local authorities and public sector bodies. You’ll lead market entry, strategy, and bid efforts, working with cross‑functional teams to shape commissioning models and deliver impactful health programmes. This role offers scope to scale Palladium’s domestic health footprint across geographies while aligning with the broader health strategy.
Responsibilities
- Market entry and portfolio development to establish Palladium as a credible delivery partner in UK domestic health
- Relationship building with Directors of Public Health, Heads of Commissioning, and other senior stakeholders to influence commissioning
- Business development and pipeline management for UK domestic health opportunities with local authorities and expansion to central government
- Proposal development, bid management, and contract/nagement alignment with compliance requirements
- Programme delivery leadership to ensure programmes meet client requirements and outcomes
- Contributing to broader health cluster strategy and thought leadership within Palladium
- Mentoring junior staff in business development and ensuring alignment with global and regional growth priorities
- Quality assurance and cross‑practice collaboration to deliver integrated health solutions
Key requirements
- 10+ years in UK health/public health with domestic commissioning experience
- Track record of building a UK domestic public health portfolio from inception to contracts
- Direct experience winning and delivering local authority public health contracts
- Proven ability to convert commissioner relationships into awarded contracts
- Deep understanding of local authority commissioning, NHS interfaces, and funding/procurement processes
- Experience leading complex bids and mobilisation of programmes
- Experience with digital health technologies and technology-enabled partnerships
- Strong commercial acumen including pricing, risk management, and contract negotiation
