Software Systems Engineer

Overview

In this role you will shape the system-level design for satellite communication software within the Future Protected Modem project. You will model requirements, define MBSE-based designs, and ensure software components integrate into a working system. You will collaborate with software and ground systems teams to capture and trace user needs, contributing to a mission-driven, cross-functional engineering effort.

Responsibilities

• Develop Systems Models from derived customer requirements
• Define System Level design following MBSE using SysML or UML
• Contribute to system designs, capturing the role of software products
• Coordinate with development teams to share high-level architecture
• Collaborate with Ground Systems to ensure user requirements are captured and traced
• Attend daily scrum stand-ups

Key requirements

• Knowledge of software solutions within a software product environment
• Experience in modelling to capture the system design
