AI Software Developer

Overview

In this role, you will help build a new software engineering team focused on AI-driven, company-wide applications. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams to translate problems into scalable product deliverables and stay at the forefront of AI and LLM advances. The work centers on solving real-world productivity challenges with custom, data-driven solutions. You’ll contribute to WorldQuant’s mission of combining academic rigor with practical results, shaping tools that empower researchers and portfolio managers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams to align product needs
• Gather, analyze and specify requirements; manage deliverables
• Design and build scalable AI-driven products addressing real-world problems
• Stay current with AI advancements, particularly in LLMs
• Drive delivery and maintain high-quality software成果

Key requirements

• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python
• Thorough understanding of AI and language models
• Understanding of vector databases and related data structures
• Working knowledge of databases and messaging technologies (SQL, Redis, Kafka) is a plus
• Excellent English communication and collaborative mindset

• Experience in finance is not required
