Contentious Private Client Lawyer

Overview

In this role you will handle a varied contentious private client caseload, starting under the guidance of the Head of Contentious Probate and Estates. You will contribute to a well-regarded Brighton practice, with training and progression opportunities as you develop your own area of expertise. The focus initially is on contentious probate and TOLATA, with scope to expand into other litigation areas. Responsibilities

• Handle a varied contentious private client caseload
• Receive training and guidance while developing an area of specialism
• Collaborate with the Head of Contentious Probate and Estates
• Develop expertise in contentious probate and TOLATA, with potential expansion to other litigation
• Manage matters from inception to resolution

Key requirements

• At least 2 years of solid litigation experience, preferably in contentious probate
• TOLATA experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong experience in property litigation, contract, or negligence considered
• Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong client-focused approach and ability to manage matters end-to-end
