Programme Manager

Overview

In this role, you will oversee multiple concurrent defence programmes, coordinating with engineering teams, Project Managers and customers to ensure delivery on time, within budget and meeting quality standards. You will lead delivery teams, manage plans, risks and milestones, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. You’ll steer programme finances, including forecasting and performance, and support bids and new business activity. This role offers visibility with senior stakeholders and a direct impact on successful, mission-critical programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Project Managers and delivery teams
• Manage programme plans, schedules, risks, dependencies and milestones
• Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
• Oversee programme finances including cost forecasting, budgeting and financial performance
• Support bids, proposals and new business activity
• Manage resource requirements and delivery priorities
• Provide programme updates to senior stakeholders

Key requirements

• Proven Programme Management experience within defence, maritime or a complex engineering environment
• Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously
• Strong customer, stakeholder and leadership skills
• Experience managing programme budgets, costs and delivery performance
