Overview

In this Engineering Lead role, you will drive design and integration of gas turbine components, from concept to detailed design and manufacturability. You’ll lead a cross-functional team, deliver high-quality 3D models, drawings and MB definitions, and support validation across lifecycle stages. Responsibilities

  • Lead design and integration of aero engine components and assemblies with a focus on safety, robustness, DFX and producibility
  • Mature design through gated technical reviews and secure buyoffs based on requirements
  • Define manufacturing outputs (drawings or MB Definitions) aligned with procedures and best practices
  • Model, draft and apply MBD to complex turbomachinery components and sub-assemblies
  • Integrate physical design with system data (air/oil systems, aerothermal, performance)
  • Address fleet-level issues and perform root-cause investigations to improve safety, reliability and availability
  • Define geometrical definitions for engineered products (3D models, assemblies, general arrangements, stress-analysis models)
  • Develop manufacturing instructions (drawings or MB Definitions) and ensure producibility
  • Collaborate with designers and manufacturing to achieve FM objectives and Right First Time/On Time delivery
  • Mentor junior or mid-level engineers and maintain high-quality code-like design deliverables
  • Adhere to GD&T ASME Y14.5 and assess mass properties

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience with turbomachinery components (gas turbine for power or aviation)
  • CAD and PLM proficiency (Siemens NX, Teamcenter)
  • Mentorship interest for junior/mid-level engineers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High analytical ability, initiative, flexibility, customer orientation, quality focus
  • Experience with APQP/PPAP framework (AS9145) is advantageous
