Associate Solicitor – Private Client – Swansea – 5-8 Years PQE

Overview

In this Senior Private Client role, you will steer a broad spectrum of wills, probate and trust matters within a growing Swansea team. You will shape strategy for high-value estates, client relations and regulatory compliance, driving growth of the Private Client department. You will mentor juniors, support business development and contribute to the firm’s continuing success. This is an autonomous role with meaningful influence and opportunities to advance within a collaborative, client-focused firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
• Provide clear, commercially-focused advice to clients
• Handle complex matters with limited supervision
• Build long-term client relationships
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and support staff
• Support business development, networking and marketing initiatives
• Ensure regulatory and professional compliance
• Contribute to strategic direction and growth of the department
• Maintain accurate file management, time recording and billing

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5-8 years PQE
• Strong experience across wills, probate and trusts
• STEP qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
• Proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Experience supervising junior team members
• Demonstrable business development experience
