Head of IT

Overview

In this role you drive the IT & Technology agenda to support Richemont’s luxury maisons. You define and implement strategic direction within your scope, ensuring alignment with the Group IT strategy and business objectives. You will shape service architecture across applications, data, integration, security, and business domains, while partnering with senior leaders to guide policy, projects and investment. You’ll lead large programs, optimize resources, and develop the talent underpinning a resilient, scalable digital ecosystem that supports risk-conscious operations and innovation. Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy within the assigned scope, aligned with Group IT strategy and business objectives
• Establish service architectural standards for technology services and components (applications, data, integration, security, business domains)
• Present actionable recommendations to business and IT leaders to adjust policies and projects
• Develop and implement strategic plans for a significant area, ensuring integration with broader functional strategy
• Optimize resources and assets within a department through tactical planning
• Provide expert advice to senior managers to facilitate policy, projects, and change initiatives
• Manage departmental budget plans and delivery
• Propose and develop annual business plans and budgets, aligning with overall strategy
• Communicate the function’s strategy and plan within the department, motivating staff
• Identify and manage stakeholders up to management level and develop engagement plans
• Manage and report on departmental performance and take corrective action to meet objectives
• Contribute to organizational structure, roles, and interfaces aligning with corporate principles
• Evaluate staff capabilities, implement development frameworks, and coach/mentor colleagues

Key requirements

• Proven technology leadership experience in complex/global environments (typically 10+ years)
• Strong background in enterprise architecture, digital platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management
• Experience managing large-scale programs, budgets, and distributed teams
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at C-suite level
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• MBA or executive education is a plus
