Overview

In this role, you will lead Darktrace’s organic discoverability and content performance, shaping SEO and AEO strategies to drive visibility and demand. You’ll collaborate with campaigns, product marketing, and content teams to integrate search insights into planning and storytelling. Your work will build a scalable content roadmap aligned with product launches and business priorities, including AI-powered search experiences. This is a chance to define how content performs at scale in a fast-moving cybersecurity environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify content opportunities that support pipeline and revenue goals in collaboration with Campaigns and Product Marketing
  • Incorporate SEO and AEO insights into early campaign planning
  • Develop content that balances search performance with compelling storytelling and integrate content with campaigns
  • Lead the organic discoverability strategy across traditional search and AI-powered answer experiences
  • Execute on-page optimization, keyword research, content refreshes, and content roadmap prioritization
  • Collaborate with Web and Digital teams on technical SEO improvements and site performance
  • Monitor organic performance, translate insights into actionable recommendations for content, campaigns, and product marketing
  • Manage relationships with SEO agencies and external partners as needed
  • Develop and lead AEO approaches and stay ahead of structured data and authority signals for AI-driven answers
  • Write SEO/AEO briefs for writers and freelancers to ensure on-create optimization
  • Align SEO/AEO priorities with core positioning and messaging in partnership with Product Marketing
  • Work with Marketing Ops/Analytics to tie organic performance to pipeline

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience in SEO and organic content marketing in B2B/technology (cybersecurity or adjacent enterprise tech preferred)
  • Hands-on experience managing SEO strategy (technical, on-page, off-page) with proven impact on organic visibility
  • Familiarity with AEO practices or strong POV on AI-driven search; hands-on AEO is a plus
  • Strong understanding of how content supports demand generation and integrated campaigns
  • Fluency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret organic data to guide strategy
  • Ability to translate technical SEO/AEO concepts into actionable guidance for non-specialists
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of managing a content roadmap independently
  • Excellent written communication for briefs, guidelines, and performance summaries
  • Experience using AI tools to support content creation, optimization, or workflow automation
  • Desirable: cybersecurity/cloud/enterprise IT content experience; knowledge of structured data/schema
