Software Development Manager – FinTech

Overview

In this role you will lead a software development team in a fast-growing omnichannel payments company, owning the end-to-end software lifecycle and shaping architecture and technical direction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class code and drive innovation in a technologically advanced environment. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a 10–15 person software development team
• Drive architecture and technical strategy
• Own full software development lifecycle
• Implement or promote Agile/Scrum practices
• Communicate effectively to stakeholders and influence decisions
• Conduct hands-on coding in Python while guiding the team
• Ensure delivery of large-scale, distributed platforms
• Align development work with payments industry requirements
• Maintain high organizational standards and attention to detail

Key requirements

• Strong background in Python development
• Experience managing software development teams
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and driving adoption
• Understanding of payments industry and payment system capabilities
• Experience with microservices and large-scale distributed platforms
• DevOps experience or environment leadership
• Hands-on coding ability in Python
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Track record of delivering complex software in fintech contexts
