Digital Project Controls Engineer – Bristol & Cardiff

Overview

In this role you will help deliver a Digital Controls platform for infrastructure projects, enabling integrated P3M practices and performance reporting. You work with cross-functional teams to tailor a cloud-based control solution that fits client needs, supporting project controls and benefit realisation. You will lead workshops and deliver insights that drive action, helping clients manage complex portfolios. Responsibilities

• Support assessment of client environments to discover and deliver a fit-for-purpose Digital Controls solution
• Assist development and optimisation of project controls and performance strategies with a digital approach
• Help implement the Digital Controls platform to optimise operating models
• Collaborate with Project Controls Leader to deploy P3M methodologies and continuously improve
• Develop understanding of the Digital Controls platform and services
• Produce reports to support findings and recommendations
• Deliver workshops with client representatives (virtual and in-person)
• Work within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams at client sites and remotely

Key requirements

• Gather, process and analyse data to support construction project management and decision-making
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to structure and present data clearly
• Knowledge of data cleansing, ETL processes, database design and visualization tools
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and present findings
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and present data insights
• Ensure data quality and governance practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven solutions
• Provide training and support on new reports, dashboards and data tools
• Support workshops and UAT for continuous quality improvement
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role if applicable
• Proficiency with SQL, Power BI/Power Query, Tableau, Qlik would be advantageous
• Familiarity with coding and modern computer system architecture would be advantageous
