Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity with a long-established main contractor in Birmingham. You will operate on a £20m new build steel frame industrial project, managing commercial aspects on-site and working autonomously. The role sits within a busy project team supporting end-to-end delivery in the Building and Civil Engineering sectors. This key position offers hands-on site exposure, close collaboration with delivery partners, and the chance to contribute to high-value industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery on a £20m on-site project
• Operate autonomously to drive cost control and contractual compliance
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and change management
• Collaborate with project team to support delivery milestones
• Ensure on-site financial reporting and risk management

Key requirements

• Degree-qualified or related qualifications (preferred)
• Experience with reputable main contractor
• Proven track record on new build industrial/warehouse projects
• Steel frame construction experience
• Ability to work on-site and commute to Birmingham
• Experience managing projects autonomously up to £20m
