Overview

In this role you will lead EIA projects within infrastructure and large urban development contexts, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality environmental statements. You will drive client engagement, budgeting, and bid contributions while mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day EIA project management and coordination for infrastructure and/or large-scale urban development projects
  • Lead author and editor of environmental statements, including drafting sections and reviewing others’ technical chapters
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary services and liaise with internal teams and external sub-consultants
  • Attend meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities and consultees
  • Manage project budgets and invoicing for internal and external teams
  • Assist with preparing fee proposals and contribute to bids
  • Participate in networking and client events

Key requirements

  • Degree-level education in environmental science or related subject
  • Ideally 4–5 years’ consultancy experience
  • Proven track record delivering proportionate EIA on complex UK sites
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ISEP)
  • Excellent report writing, communication and organisational skills
  • Solid understanding of EIA and the UK planning process
