Civil Engineer

Overview

In this Civil Engineer role within Cundall’s UK Civils team, you drive the design of diverse civil infrastructure projects and help shape sustainable built-environment solutions. You’ll collaborate with specialists across disciplines to deliver technically robust outcomes and support your growth toward Chartered Engineer status. The position offers increasing autonomy and a path to Chartered status while contributing to high-profile projects in the UK and globally. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design across a varied portfolio of civil infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with specialist engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technically excellent delivery
• Develop and refine civil designs for built-environment infrastructure (roads, drainage, flood risk, pavements, etc.)
• Contribute to team development and design quality, mentoring as skills grow
• Support progression toward Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and professional accreditation
• Engage with local construction market knowledge and liaise with highways and drainage authorities

Key requirements

• Degree level in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng)
• Experience in a civil engineering role within a consultancy
• Proficiency in civil design software (AutoCAD, Flow, InfoDrainage, Civil 3D)
• Knowledge of infrastructure design for built environment and authorities
• Commitment to sustainable and intuitive design
