Digital Buildings Engineering Manager

Overview

In this role, you will lead the strategic transformation of the engineering function for Digital Buildings, coordinating between regional teams and the Global Engineering Centre (GEC) in India. You drive offshore design capabilities, optimize delivery, and ensure cost-effective, timely project execution. You’ll shape cross-cultural collaboration, manage backlogs and KPI reporting, and push continuous improvement to boost efficiency and margins. This is a high-impact, integration-focused leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Develop growth plans for offshore hardware, software, and graphics engineering from country to GEC.
• Engage country leadership to onboard GEC delivery in identified projects.
• Identify sales opportunities for GEC and support tendering with accurate costing and savings plans.
• Identify GEC opportunities from live backlog projects with country operations.
• Forecast GEC man-hours monthly and yearly by region; build labour savings projections.
• Provide programme management for all GEC European/France projects, including reporting, delivery, and invoicing.
• Track GEC estimation requests to ensure timely, competitive costs for engineering resources.
• Oversee quality processes and adherence to country standards, capturing lessons learned.
• Build and report monthly KPI dashboards on hours delivered, cost savings, and forecasted vs. targets.
• Agree yearly delivered hours targets with Country VPs and align project scopes accordingly.
• Support GEC engineers with training needs and SME engagement in-country.
• Coordinate resource management and capacity planning with GEC leadership.
• Assist tendering teams to develop competitive offshore cost models and ensure on-time delivery by GEC.
• Monitor delivery performance and measure internal customer satisfaction; implement corrective actions as needed.
