In this Associate Civil Engineer role, you will lead civil design delivery for building developments, guiding the Civils team from resourcing to commercial management. You’ll drive design innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence, ensuring quality and safety across projects. You’ll manage client relationships, bids, and marketing input to sustain a healthy project flow. Responsibilities

• Resource planning and staff management
• Client management and business development
• Overseeing project design delivery and QA against procedures
• Identifying and addressing team weaknesses and change control
• Managing contractual matters and financial performance
• Leading design innovation and SAB Process compliance
• Contributing to marketing materials, bids, and sales planning
• Ensuring sustainable work streams through bids and client networking

Key requirements

• Significant experience in civil engineering design for building developments
• Experience in the local market and knowledge of stakeholders and partners
• Strong understanding of SAB Legislation and SAB Process
• Chartered membership/Associate membership of ICE or working towards Chartership
• Strong communication, analytical, and technical design/drawing skills
• Experience using AutoCAD, InfoDrainage, Civil3D, collaborative model platforms, NBS Chorus
• Self-motivated team player with good people skills
