Overview

In this role you will drive technology transformation programmes for UK public sector clients, focusing on Oracle Cloud HCM and related tech. You will work within Public Sector Transformation to shape digital foundations for healthcare and government services. You’ll tackle complex data migrations, system implementations, and testing while guiding client teams and delivering tangible value. This position offers hands-on delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to influence large-scale public sector programmes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technology transformation programmes in the UK public sector (NHS, Government, MOD, MOJ, Local/Central Government)
• Lead systems implementation, design, testing, and data migration with Oracle HCM focus
• Manage parts of projects, ensure quality and risk controls, and meet client expectations
• Coach and guide client technology teams and junior colleagues
• Promote Agile/modern IT delivery approaches and drive digital platform strategies
• Support proposals, client care, and business development within the practice
• Contribute to practice area development and strengthen the BCG brand
• Participate in training and mentoring to build technical expertise

Key requirements

• 3–6 years of experience delivering technology transformation programmes in the UK public sector
• Previous consulting experience focused on technology, digital initiatives, and large-scale transformations
• Hands-on systems implementation experience including testing and data migration with Oracle HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting)
• Strong understanding of NHS or central government delivery frameworks
• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Strategic, entrepreneurial thinker with strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience running client workshops and facilitating meetings
• Business acumen to frame complex problems in business terms
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud/Fusion HCM, Oracle DWH, and Oracle ME
• Willingness to travel within the UK
• University degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
