Associate Director Project Management

Overview

In this role you lead major commercial office projects from feasibility to handover, acting as a trusted client advisor and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. You ensure delivery against programme, budget and quality targets while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. For Associate Director level, you will also contribute to business development and team leadership. You shape projects at scale and drive client growth and project performance with strategic oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of commercial office projects from feasibility through to handover
• Manage new-build developments, major fit-outs, and complex refurbishments
• Develop relationships with developers, investors and occupiers
• Oversee governance, reporting, risk management and programme control
• Manage consultant teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Chair meetings and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Monitor budgets and programmes to ensure delivery
• Support procurement and tendering activities
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining quality and commercial objectives
• Mentor junior project managers and support team development
• Support growth of existing client accounts and pursue new opportunities

Key requirements

• Proven experience delivering commercial office projects in consultancy, client-side, or project management
• Experience in: new-build offices, CAT A/B fit-outs, and cut-and-carve refurbishments
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management
• Experience from inception to completion and strong controls knowledge
• Commercially aware with ability to drive project success
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience at Senior Project Manager or Associate Director level
• Existing network within the commercial office market
• Track record of winning work and developing client relationships
