Overview

In this role you drive new business for a premier conference and events venue, focusing on large meetings, exhibitions, and venue-led experiences. You will work across office, home, and on-site engagements to convert enquiries, tour clients, and close contracts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue. The role offers hybrid working, uncapped commission, and a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service. You will help shape the venue’s market presence and growth through strategic prospecting and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively source new business in exhibitions and large conference/events sales
  • Manage client show rounds and attend on/off site appointments
  • Maximise revenue across all business streams and achieve sales targets
  • Showcase venue to build connections with prospects and clients
  • Handle inbound enquiries and maximise conversion
  • Lead end-to-end enquiry process: proposal, site tour, negotiation, contracts, event details
  • Follow up sales leads, attend events, and present the group to potential clients

Key requirements

  • Experience driving sales within the conference and events venues market
  • Ability to negotiate rates to secure new and repeat business
  • Proactive sales approach for large meetings and events
